We know that leading a group of students to study abroad is an intensely rewarding experience for both students and faculty, and it's often an opportunity that allows students to spend time in a "classroom" like they've never seen before. UNL recognizes that education abroad is a uniquely valuable effort towards educating enlightened citizens to lead productive and meaningful lives, and UNL faculty members are encouraged to develop programs that support the curricular goals of their academic colleges and departments. The Education Abroad Office is here to help you develop, design, and execute these types of programs. Please take a look through the Faculty-Led Program Resources in the tab above to learn more about the process and policies behind program development, planning, and trip logistics. When you are ready to propose your program idea, follow these program proposal guidelines.

If you aren't planning a program of your own, but are interested in supporting your students' efforts to go abroad, read more about advising students and helping them fit education abroad into their degree plans.
